Corey has a proven track record of positively contributing to the community through mentoring and coaching our youth in various sports and after-school activities. Below are a list of Corey’s community service activities:
Corey currently works as a Regional Operations Manager with a successful local recycling company. He manages a total of 6 facilities in the Puget Sound Area and is responsible for over 300 employees at those facilities.
Black Diamond is attracting more people who want to join our way of life. The Ten Trails development is well underway. We are feeling the growing pains of a city not yet ready for this level of expansion. What must our community do to accommodate the inevitable growth we will experience?
Our public services must keep pace with these changes. Funding for fire and police as well as city infrastructure (road projects, traffic safety, sidewalks, bike paths, and parks) must increase. It is also vital to protect our wetlands, creeks, lakes, and open spaces.
We all want these things: better roads, better sidewalks, and to feel safe in our community. Decisions on these subjects do not create much controversy. However, there will come a time when the city council votes on topics that are contentious. What kind of decisions do you want your council to make on banning fireworks, cannabis stores, safe injection sites, defunding the police and homeless camps?
When that time comes, you want to have the right person on the city council who will vote to protect our city, our residents, and our Black Diamond way of life. I believe I am that person. Please vote for me, Corey Bailey.
